  1. I came across this when I was researching watches before I found these wonderful Replica Fansites. Although all points can be argued and some may hold a bit of water, please bring your attention to #5. This forum just gave me that warm fuzzy feeling when I reread this. From http://www.chronocentric.com/watches/counterfeit.shtml I doubt gens would ever be commonly known for their "value", and many people here seem to avoid the deceiving factor; more of an enjoyment of the timepiece that they otherwise could not have had. I certainly am gullible at times, but this forum gives me a simlar vibe to "kit car" forums and their ilk; knowing what they are and enjoying them for what it is. Comments?
  2. HEY NOW As an Infiniti G35 owner I must protest. A G35 is a VERY nice car as a daily driver (Lotus esprit S4 and a '65 Mustang are the fun ones ) and not at all like the insult slung toward Hundai (not that bad either in recent years). His decision on how to post may have been retarded, but please don't insult the car
  3. Just got my first replica watches in the mail today. Purchased them from Joshua and received them in 5 days (including the Chinese Holiday ). Both seem to work and the packaging was great (I'll write him a kudo's post ) As a true noob, I have yet to come to appreciate the "Subs", "GMT", "UPO"'s of the world, so I just ended up doing something silly like buying some things that looked cool: Vacheron Constantin Jubilee 1755 Frank Muller Curvex Crazy Hour Blue (Pics to be inserted when I figure out how to use my wifes camera ) The VC looks great although the lettering doesn't seem quite as bright as I would have thought. Perhaps it's just my eyes getting older . OH, and that Crazy Hour! when I bought it I just thought that the hours on the dial were in the wrong position. I had NO IDEA that the hour hand flips back and forth as the day goes on. And it does it exactly at the top of the hour when it's supposed to. I am just thrilled. Well, off to figure out that camera thingy and then think about my next purchase. Perhaps that $288 Rolex Blue Sub with the wrapped gold band, or maybe that Chronoswiss Delphis. Heck, I'll probably buy both. Thanks again for all your help and advice, whether already given in your posts or answered in mine.
  4. HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!! I am going nuts trying to figure this out, even though I find posts asking the same question. I have "searched" til I am blue in the face (non reflecting because of the coating:p ) and ended up more confused over the simple choice of WHICH SIMPLE INEXPENSIVE NICE QUALITY ROLEX SUBMARINER REPLICA to buy. I won't even ask the which one part here, just tell me, please pretty please, if the following watches are different/same/first generation cousins/etc. : Someone on another Rep forum quoted here often wrote about about contacting SoCal Sub to look into this watch- http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=2715 I read tons about the "TTK Noobmariner" and it's equivalent "Nymphmariner", not sure if they are actually available at the moment:( Joshua has a Beginmariner- http://www.pc-80108.com/rlss10009-black-be...ing-p-2311.html Andrew has a "newbie" edition Submariner http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...a39ec18920e87b4 Please help me in letting me know what the differences are in all this. They all seem to be in the $100- $150USD range. I hope this post is OK with the links. Even if you can't tell me which is "better", it would help if I just knew why I was buying Brand X over brand Y. Thanx in advance:)
  5. Hi all. Glad I found this forum before I used the one of the dozens (hundreds? thousands??) of replica watch sites and getting a bum deal. Am looking for a nice complication or moon phase watch and thought this forum would be perfect. Thanks in advance for the help! EDIT:Ugh. I must have gotten the bug already. After just buying (within 2 weeks) a gen Oris Artelier Skeleton and a not so pricy Citizen Eco Drive Moon Phase I come here and get rep versions of the stuff I can't afford: The VC Jubilee 1755 and the Frank Muller Curvex Crazy Hour. Can't wait to see this months credit card bills HMMMM, I wonder if there is a support group forum for this type of behavior
