That's what a vintage should look like! Old-school, but not beaten up & thrown around.

When are you taking orders?!?!?! :yeah:

That is one of the most gorgeous watches I've seen.....Imagine if PANERAI released a version of this bad-boy in their range....ther's be stampedes on the streets, anarchy & chaos ;)

    AWESOME job Merlin!

    Thank for the pics!!

sorry, no orders. I'm building watches just for me.

    Was wondering.. who/what is Hixxy?

Hixxy is a great guy over at homageforum.com, AFAIK on another board also known as PatronSaintofChainsaws

  3. I just finished my 3646 prototype with an 8 days A.Douard movement.

it has a ross dial, repainted, resin filled and superlumed, T-hands, reshaped Hixxy case with soldered lugs and tube, Hixxy bezel, nightwatch caseback and an Ant ammo strap.

    Hope you like the result.

    great shape...

  4. @Merlin...how are you spraying the dial and not effecting the printing on the dial?...also, how did you fix the scratch and blend the paint into the other areas?...what are the diffs between the two paints in your pix above?...

    well done...the piece looks great...

    R-

I just used the clear varnish. so I can spray the whole dial, but on the white paint you don't see an effect.

I fixed the scratches with very little amount of paint and a silver-polishing-cloth.

the difference between these two paints is the color. one is black, the other one is clear, I used the clear one only.
