I still am the reigning champion
For old time's sake - behold!
Good lord! I`m getting dizzy just from lookin` at the pictures. That`ll be a tough one to beat!
-
As a noob I naturally made the mistake of asking for the best sub in one of my first posts. I know better now. It could be fun though to see who has the worst sub. Not in terms of dealer, but owned by an individual. Do you have an awful inaccurate sub rep, a beat up old beast? Let`s see the pictures
-
Correct me if I`m wrong, but it looks like the 2007 model is not (yet?) available on the website.

Good and detailed review!
2 questions: Is this the one listed as "VIP's Submariner 16613 2005 F-Serial" on WM9`s website? How does it compare to the MBW TT?
-
did you purchase one from either of them?
Not that I would suggest you should trust other people`s research 100% without doing your own, but I did quite a bit of research before I ordered my first rep and decided to go with the Noobmariner from TTK. I have not received it yet, but will (hopefully) receive it shortly and will post my comments about the watch then. So far, my shopping experience dealing with TTK has been a great one:-)

For that price look into the Noobmariner, a watch that most members in here seem to agree is the best out-of-the-box sub for the money. It is available for sale by TTK and Narikaa.

Since you`re using the term "project", I`m guessing that you might have plans to ....perhaps take parts from all 3 and make one watch?
-
Very nice! I`m getting a MBW TT sometime down the road. Could you tell us a little more about it? How does it feel? Any obvious flaws? IO know there are a few reviews, but the more opinions we have the better:-)
-
They usually do that when they are having payment issues with their paypal account. They open the section to everyone. Dont get to used to it... it wont be there forever LOL
Well..I just ordered a watch box that holds 5 watches and I`ve only ordered 1 watch, so I guess I better get on that supporter deal then

Told you I was half evil...
Look into my (avatar) eyes and tell me who`s the evil one.
-
"Confusing", I can live with that...as long as I`m not confused..hey! Hold on.... I AM! Ah well...
-
Once you become a RWG Supporter paying member, then the collector section will be reveiled before your very eyes... You will find everything you want there!
Or you can search for TTKs posts and then look at his signature
Psssst..I`m not a supporter (yet) but I can see the collector section

Yeah...that was very...enlightening
Go Wanderers!

I tried to do a search for this, but ended up with a big nada. Can someone tell me what it means that I have yellow star next to my name. When I click on it it says "Terje has lots of pretty gold stars" or something like that. I mean, seriously I`m not even sure if it`s gold plated or gold wrapped stars?

Yupp..see my sig.

Who has a MBK TT SUB? How close is the MBK to the genuine?
TTK and Paso both have them. There are plenty of posts discussing the details on RWG. Search for MBK or MBW submariner.
My next watch purchase will be a blue faced TT MBW.
-
I`m guessing this is in Ken`s home country...
Tillit, Herts, Down Under...?
-
I suggest you check out the MBW/MBK version before you order.

Welcome to the forum!

I`m impressed with the wealth of knowledge!. I ask for a hamburger and you serve me Kobe beef! Thank toy SO much Toad!

it looks like you're really done your research and layed it out really well. nice closeup comparisons of the two watches. I hope people now see the difference between the gen Noobmariner and the noobmariner replicas LOL
TTK's Noobmariner is most accurate submariner rep 'out of the box'. Plus its the perfect base to build a franken.. gen crown and tube and a gen insert and your done! The bracelet is almost perfect too.
I`m not totally familiar with the terminology yet. Could someone explain to me, sloooowly, what tube and insert are? I think I can figure out what the crown is.
Terje, the Noob

I did......
Ha ha ha..I bet you did! ....and so did I actually (See my signature)
Thanks for the detailed write up toad. VERY helpful!

Personally I`m very new to the hobby so I don`t really know from experience that the prices have gone up. Also, my first rep is in the mail, or will be soon, so I don`t even know what kind of a quality I have paid for. I would like to say though that thanks to this and other forums with their reviews and recommendations, I feel confident that the watch I will be receiving in a few days will be of excellent quality. I also feel confident that the dealer that I chose to purchase my first rep from will stand by his words. The question is then "what am I buying?" I`m not just buying a watch..a rep. I`m buying confidence! To me, that`s worth a lot! Obviously, that doesn`t explain dramatic price increases, but it more than justifies the price level we`re at now the way I see it.
