THanks guys... I do like as well the combo a lot..
hmm...i guess i'm the only one that doesn't like that buckle on that watchoh well -- different strokes for different folks
btw, it's been a while; i hope all is well w/ you & your family...
I know it would look better on an old vintagised 6152/1 or a Cali but I dont think it is that bad combo with the titanium.. I doesnt look good with my 112 though
All the family is fine thanks for asking my friend

Thanks Don. i think when it will age naturally it will look even better
-

I just finished another strap for my 118. vintage leather and aged nickel plated buckle.. like?
-
I dunno about the rest of you guys, but this one looks pretty good!
Leaning towards my first Graham, i think...
Same here.. waiting for real life photos and when i will come back from holidays i may get it

Beautiful!!!!!!
-
Yeap.. i ve seen this one.. looks way too cool that it made me thinking if i should get it
-
That one looks great with the buckle change. Love the color/patina!
Thanks
I think this strap the more you wear it the closer it will get to the vintage mustardy colour strap.. it needs a month of sunbathing in Greece this one
Btw I do have her numbered buckle as well.. very nice buckle to be honest so i prefered to put it in one of my own straps instead of the bruno
-
COngrats.. beautiful indeed!!!
-
Mine is an earlier one, not part of the numbered edition she's currently offering. I got lucky on the stitching but the buckle isn't numbered and has her logo on the underside instead.
Yes the older ones are the better and proper ones.. I do have her first versions.. I have replaced the buckle with a nice Wojtecki with a submarine (instead of her branded one) and love it
Yes you should be lucky on the stitching though..
For anyone whos interested now Ferretti offers the old version Bruno instead of Simona (because he had the rights from her maker)

Excellent result my friend.. well done!!!

Great strap indeed... do not agree on the 1:1 construction but i do on the other. Great colour but stitching on most of them is quite sloppy when it ends.
I have one and love it

Ah... put me on the want list for one of those! I've noticed that the thread appears to have been dyed at the same time the leather was, hence the exact same color of thread and leather for the several I've been fortunate enough to see in person.
Last one sold for 4000$ and it was not even close to NOS conditions... Rare beasts those straps..
And I agree about the thread.. Seems dyed. HEre is another example of exact matching thread on a mustardy example

Nice straps.. Being an expert on Vintage straps I had the opportunity to verify originality for a friend of mine and big paneristi collector for one like those..
Amazing straps and I am now even closer to find the exact same hide. Watch for my post after my summer hunt

Thanks guys for the kind words.. still havent decided which strap/hide to put on the nickel plated...

Some of you may know that I have a friend in US that is a buckle maker (one of the best out there) and i make him vintage straps and he sends me some AMAZING and unique handmade buckles..
First I got this brass GPF style one...
Now I got a new one.. Brass but it is NICKEL plated like the original Kampf ones.. Amazing if you see it first hand.
He also sent me this Simona Stamped one from his limited edition series and I made a killer strap for it.. XL wraparound style worn upside down.. Very comfortable and very cool I must say
-
Beautiful pair Simon... If i ever decide to do a vintage it will be either one of those...
WHen you will feel the need for another vintage strap in mustardy colour let me know
-
COngrats Robert.. a lovely watch...enjoy it

Thanks guys for the kind words.. I really love all the straps and don't know which one to wear
-
nice Straps V, i love the first one
Thanks The first one had a lot of 'less good' versions in the past but i think this one is the perfect suede gator for my 118
-
For the last few months i was happy with my strap collection so i didn't had any new straps for some time..
But lately i had the urge to adde some more so here they are:
1) I will start with this cajun gator... I sourced the suede gator hide seperately and sent it to Brent who makes THE best gator straps.. I also sent him a brushed logo buckle to sewn-in.. He has stitched it in tan but I didn't liked the contrast and i restitched it in matching dark brown... I think now it is a perfect combo for my 118
2)This is an old vintage suede strap i have made to sell but i have restitched it in nylon gold thread, darkened the edges and shortened it for a better fit and kept it for myself... Also another good and different colour combo with the 118
3) This is a Strapmasters MMV X stitched strap.. I had the same strap in the past but slightly longer and the fit was not good for my wrist.. So I sold the other one and tried to source a slightly smaller one... it was difficult because only few of them were made but i did find it eventually and now it is a perfect fit in the second hole with tail going up to the 12 lug. It has a GPF Mod Dep buckle
4) Nr 4 is my own Ammo strap.. as you may know from my other thread I sourced some ammo hides from my last trip and I made one for my 112 with a GPF Mod Dep buckle as well because they are going fast
5) Another strap I made for my 118 is this stitchless with my new MarlboroV2 hide.. I like this leather so much that I wanted it stitchless to enjoy the texture
6) Last but not least it is this very unique strap.. Idea by Strapmasters in order to hide the holes.. Trust me it is VERY difficult to make with only partion gluing etc... I really like the strap because even if you have different leather hides it is nice to have a different design
It is relatively short (not vintage style) and i have put a polished logo buckle.
I think it is a very nice match with my 112 and I am planning to do the same with a black hide as well.

Ross congrats on a real masterpiece mate.. I hope to see it in flesh sometime in the future
