  1. Happy Birthday cmt_sutton!

  2. Hi Denz, my opinion is the Ultimate DSSD are all from the same source, whether Puretime, Andrew, Josh etc. Mine came from Andrew early January, had at least 5 issues with it and sent it back, took 11 weeks from ordering on Dec 12th, arrived Jan 8th, sent back Jan 12th, received refund ($403) mid february. Faults or inaccuracies were: poorly aligned lock ring paint missing from T in System date did not centre within window domed crystal, no 316f steel? dull, covered in crap and thick plastic, would expect some tlc and care on a $400 purchase. No obvious QC, drop shipped from source. Only saving grace on my purchase was the trader replied to emails promptly and kept his word on the refund. I have the WM9 LV sub on order from BK, which I know will be first class and worth the extra. Also just bought a PO from Narikaa, $100, based on other buyer reviews, and delighted, so just stick to the great feed back from the members. With the chinese traders its a lottery, they are far too busy to put in the care required, in my opinion.
  3. I have the 45mm Black / Orange POrikaa which arrived last week, be careful of the crystal, its not sapphire, I managed to put a small scratch on mine, the AR is great tough, a very nice example for an amazing price, had the back off and the asian 21j is very bright, all gold, looks great surrounded by a heavy brass retaining ring. Keeps good time, losing about 5 secs per day, but by placing in various angles when not worn at night will gain a few seconds to keep very good time. The bracelet pins are difficult to remove, I use a hammer and pin pusher part way, then grab the opposite protuding part with heavy pliers and pull steadily out. Its the second watch from Reg I have bought, his Chanel J12 black ceramic is cool for the ladies too, provides very good quality items that are put together well.
  4. thanks for the info, in the end I send vai international signed for, which takes longer but was on the instructions of the dealer.

  5. Hi Mate, have just returned a DSSD Ultimate to (Andrew) Trustytime, used Royal Mail airsure with

  6. I`ve been wearing the watch today after a year or so buried at the back of a drawer and realise how much I still like this watch, its a keeper and will remain in my steadily growing collection. Please note it is no longer for sale.
  7. Hi Guys, still have the Tag Golf (Fantasy) watch which is in great working and little used (as new) condition, if anyone wishes to buy PM me please. Everything works, all three date dials plus timekeeping is about + 5 secs per day. I have the WM9 V2 Submariner as my favoured day watch since joining the RWG after my trip to China. Next away (lads) trip is to the West Coast USA on Harleys next year.
  8. Hi Mate I have the Angus 111e (2 years now) and the second hand came loose plus some othe rissues, Rocketeer is a watchsmith based in Milton Keynes who does a great job on PAM repairs, PM him and check my posts on the issues I had. Good Luck Chris
  9. I`ll just say around the price of 4 beers with postage on top, amazing that I now have a watch in better shape than when originally delivered from new.
  10. Hi All and a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you all. I`m based in the UK and have been very lucky to have made contact with Rocketeer, another UK based member who is also a watchsmith. Just before xmas the second hand came loose on my PAM Ultimate 111e bought last year from Puretime (Angus), Rocketeer came to my rescue and did an excellent repair, not only the second hand but other bits required attention, the crown guard screws were too short and the movement moved inside when the crown lever was pushed back after a time adjustment. Add to this a case polish that corrected all the wear and case scuffs (FOC) and I had back my watch on xmas eve looking brand new. WOW what a service Rocketeer does, and very efficient and competitive too. Even if a warranty had been given by Puretime, it would have been more expensive and risky to post back to China, so having someone like Rocketeer who you can rely on to do an inexpensive professional repair, lume or whatever is fantastic. I`m a noob when it comes to the technical elements so here are the jobsheet details that were emailed to me from Rocketeer: 1. The dial is on the thick side and so a standard replacement dial foot did not allow the dial to seat low enough without additional machining and cost. Adhesive dial dots have been utilised instead. 2. The dial has some minor marking from the second hand rubbing prior to being pushed off but this is not particularly visible on the assembled watch. 3. The second hand spigot had splayed very slightly but responded to slight crimping to obtain a secure fit so replacement was not required. 4. Some case damage was present to one of the lugs and the nearby top shoulder, the case has been given a refinish with our compliments. All repairs go through a 48hr check test to ensure all is well before returning, so yours should be out in Mondays post. Have a good holiday Its obvious Rocketeer loves his job (hobby?) and you can tell this by the attention he gives to his repairs which I consider above the norm. Many thanks Rocketeer for your fantastic service, it is most appreciated.
  11. Hi All I have a PAM 111E Ultimate edition supplied by Angus (Puretime) which I have cherished for 11 months now as a xmas present from my wife. The other day the second hand became detached from the innards and is loose inside the crystal. I do not have the case opener or skill set to remove and reset the hand, should I seek a warranty repair or just go to my local watch smith? or do any members offer a repair service in the UK? Many thanks for any input.
  12. welcome mate, I`m from the UK (Surrey) too, have bought from Puretime (Angus) and Silix, planning to treat myself with a new purchase from PT this xmas, I would say you can count on any of the Traders in this forum, I went to China last year and found the chinese generally a very honest people to deal with. You can wait some time for a delivery or confirmation mails which is frustrating but makes the purchse more fun, you just have to plan ahead.
  13. sorry precious time, not pure time, who is another great dealer who supplied a really nice PAM 111E to me last year.
