Great pics everyone, although why is it that C3P0 is the only one to have put a watch on his dog? (even if it was photoshopped...)
-
I watched the game, and in periods England were totally overrun by Croatia. McClaren's '3-5-1-1' failed miserably. The Midfield never got the hold on the opponents, and Rooney never really had a chance against a solid Croat-defence. Obviously people are picked for their name and not form.
I agree with By-Tor, Beckham would be better than Neville any day on the right wing, he can tackle and attack, and McClaren making a statement by not selecting him has backfired..
Ashley "The Girl" Cole looked like a junior player, never finding his place.
I have a love/hate relationship with the english team, I love to see them do well, and a championship without them is poorer for it, but I can't help enjoying their loss when they mouth off like they do.
Croatia, a very good side, deserves a lot of credit for playing like they do, pushing england on every part of the pitch, making individual players look bad.
I agree with everything you said, except that Beckham and Neville work great together, rather than as a replacement for each other down the right wing.

I generally don't mind the AP celebrity connections, but it's curious that they pick second rate drivers like RB and JPM and some second rate golfers. Anyway, for me it's more important that the watch looks good than which celebrity is connected to it or whether it's an LE.
I didn't like the JPM when I first saw it, but I now think it looks great. I'm not a fan of either the RB I or the RB II. The RB I six o'clock subdial is ridiculous. The RB II skeleton dial looks like a wasted opportunity when there's nothing very interesting to see behind it, and the pushers and crown stick out too far.
I'm with you guys on the EOD. Both Boutique RO Chrono watches are the dog's [censored], and the Montreux Grand Prix 2006 RO Chrono looks great as well.

Yes, it's an offshore. Jay-Z is a very well known (in watch circles, that is) ambassador of AP. They commissioned a limited edition Jay-Z watch, which he helped to design, to commemorate his 10th anniversary in the music business. It even came with a signed (engraved) iPod.

Assuming you had up to £2k ($3.5k USD roughly) which genuine watch would you buy?
The new IWC Pilot's Chronograph looks amazing, and might just fit within your budget if you can get a good discount. Also, it hasn't been repped yet
-
Still do not have my group buy IWC yet - not impressed with the service from Silix at all. Will not be buying from them again.
I just got mine today, so try and hang in there buddy. My watch was shipped on 19th, and spent 4 days in customs at Coventry before being released.
The seconds hand is a bit jerky, so I'll probably get the movement serviced. Otherwise I'm very happy with the watch, although if I had the choice I would have paid a bit more to get quicker service from another dealer.

Anyone else notice the Royal Oak Chrono Tourbillon that Darren Clarke was wearing? Awesome watch.
-
Not much point. Only the dial has lume.
I know, but I like pictures of glowy things
-
Great work. Would be cool if you could chuck in a few lume shots as well.

I dont get it.
Comparing the rep hands against a genuine Portuguese makes sense, but judging the accuracy of the hands by comparing it to a Lacroix...? It doesn't appear to be a like for like comparison. Does the Lacroix use exactly the same blue steel as a Portuguese?
-
I like how the commentator does the typical South American over the top "...goooooooooooaaal!" even though he knows it wasn't a goal.
-
If the source was knowledgeable, surely he'd know more than that?
-
and there is nothing wrong with these blue hands compared to the genuine Marice Lacroix I own with blue hands.
That's a novel way of determining a rep's accuracy...
-
No offence, but perhaps a more appropriate means of raising such issues is to take it to PM or reporting it to a mod, rather than hijacking the thread.
Top 5: 1. AP Nick Faldo. 2. IWC GST Titanium. 3. Vacheron Constantin Overseas. 4. IWC Portuguese Panda. 5. AP RO Chrono 1:1 (there's a chance, albeit very small, that this rep will be out in 2008...).

I currently have my 600ml mug of Tetleys next to me and it's a decent standard cuppa.I also have a beautiful big mug (not cup) of Tetley sitting amicably by my side.
Tetley makes tea bags.......make tea.

Did you report the bastard to eBay?
-
I'm also wanting a black, top quality, crock/alli strap for my iwc (must have "IWC" on the buckle)!
I'm also looking for one, when I get my Portuguese Panda. If you find out, can you post it here? Thanks.
-
This is very sad news. RIP.
-
When you guys say you got confirmations, do you mean a PayPal payment confirmation or an order confirmation from Silix? Just wondering, as I only got the former...
-
You Europeans....sheesh....if they ever played a game w/ NBA rules, the Portland Trailblazers benchwarmers would beat the Greek National team by 50 points.
mmmm....sour grapes, so tasty!

The new Pilot's Chrono is one of my favourite watches. Hope it gets repped (properly...).
-
Count me in for the panda please

The High-end replica community has grown exponentially in the past few years.
I think your argument falls down here...

I have seen it twice over the past couple of months (at preview screenings) and I have to say it is hands down the funniest film I have seen in a very very long time. I can pretty much recollect every scene in the film, it's that good.
