  1. Same deal ^. Dont think my watch is my QC watch. half my caseback is not brushed or is damaged (the side wall of the caseback), half the tang buckle is no brushed, few dings in the caseback, and worst of all, bezel is perfect, but i think the dial is crooked, because the markers dont line up with the bezel markings.

But i have to say, the piece looks amazing, and fits perfect. Too bad it has to get shipped back for repair :( Looks like i'm stuck with this for the weekend

  2. This one looks awesome. Only thing other than pearl/triangle that needs to be looked at is the hands (the pointer is too small, and the arrow is a little too narrow) and the curves parts on teh 12, 6, 9 need to be more curved. Looks like the polished areas on the lug edges isnt the right size or shape either... hopefully final product is better.

Youll see what im talking about in a side by side.

  3. i received the whole lot of pictures, the pic taken from further away (straight on the dial) also confirms this misalignment. I rejected it as soon as i opened the pictures. Going for number 4!

This was the zoomed out pic.

Asian movement. i actually switched my order from swiss to asian after reading a few posts about each type

  4. Thanks for all the replies guys.

Sometimes you are overwhelmed with the descriptions of some of the watches on NDT, etc... and i guess you are always expecting the best, hoping for the best, never expecting the worst, hoping for that rare almost perfect one to slip through.

I guess, i will start to hunt around for my own parts and will hopefuly be back here to ask a ton of questions on how to do this and that.

    Thanks Again,

    A

  5. Hey Guys,

I have never worn a rolex before, and am not to fond of newer models. That being said, the vintage stuff really hits the spot.

I've been looking around for parts and pieces to build a franken piece. I have come across a few ND trading Dials. This is where my question starts, and i need help.

    What/who is NDT?

They have a website, with parts, and full builds. Any information on their complete builds. They look pretty good, and alot of them (well from their descriptions) seem to have gen/service parts, in addition to their dials and cases (not sure whos cases they use).

Any backround an these guys is greatly appreciated, and hopefully i'll be able to diversify from my current IWC and panerai collecting :D

    Cheers,

    Andrew

  6. It is a relatively new addition for me and I am loving it but I am curious on the new one and whether it is a turbo 8 or 10. I prefer naturally aspirated engines so I pulled the trigger rather than waiting. Oh, and of course it is alwyas less painful to pick up a used one with light miles for a lot less. Kind of like watches. ;)

I am loving that Aston Martin. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I've read its supposed to be a TT V8 or turbo 10... 600+hp or something ret*rded like that. Even though the current v10 is a little light on power, it hauls a$$ for its size :)

  7. Please do not buy Armani Jeans!!!! Stick to someone who makes a quality jean (11-13oz), and go with a selvege cut denim. Do not buy a jean that has wiskers, or is acid washed or has any type of fading!!!!

    ewww :S - lol

In any case, buy Raw denim, nothing pre washed (check teh pockets inside).. if they are still white/offwhite you are good.. if they are blueish stay away.

Top of the price range about (200-500$, although at that high end, you are paying for the name)...

    Look at:

    - Nudie

    - True religion (only a few that aren't ugly)

    - Rag + bone

    - A.P.C

    - Citizens

    - Earnest Sewn (if you are in NYC, get your custom made - they are amazing)

    Low end (75-200$)

    - Earnest Sewn (if you are in NYC, get your custom made - they are amazing)

    - Dr. Denim

    - Rag + bone

    - A.P.C

    - Citizens

    - no joke here, but GAP (1969 - original selvege).. Its like 80$ for a heavy, selvege cut jean... good quality and hella low price
