  1. i thought this was a really good offer...i am sure you guys have similar sources but if anyone wants 20% off any gen Rolex or Omega drop me a PM and i will put you in contact with the dealer i use!
  2. hi guys I have just bought a brand new 2254.5 - i am looking to change for a lovely black rubber diver strap or maybe black leather. can anyone recommend a place to get hold of one? i think a rep may be needed as i read the quality is very good for a lot less money...! also what size would i need to buy? i only ask as i saw this: and the owner mentioned its on a PO strap....surely the case is too small to fit it? thanks very much!
  3. any help would be greatly appreciated chaps - looking to buy a UK nearly new gen. Omega Seamaster Professional (chronometer). i have had a look on ebay but just wondered if i was better off sourcing somewhere else. are there any things in particular i should watch out for? thanks
  4. of course, i am sorry. its this one http://www.ugo.com/lifestyle/watches/image...ies/watch_2.jpg thanks

    Bond 22

    that is a lovely suit
  8. just out of interest, not wanting to upset anyone, is this actually going to make any difference with regard to its future production?
  9. just to say i would def buy one too! (if its accurate...) surely they make one....maybe its just a case of a collector sourcing it?!
  10. i agree with mentalist - in the books its all about the big names...in fact in every bond film?! maybe not as obvious as SONY though... Moore and connery were bald/balding. The original sketch of bond was a dark man receeding.....you are right though craig doesnt fit my mental picture of bond either. Dalton is the way forward!!
  11. thanks greystash - good reply! the price difference is considerable and the service cost is a real issue for me. I would much prefer the mechanical but just cant afford it. Perhaps i should save a bit harder! i wish my father was into timepieces and had something to give to me. I really like the idea of being given a watch but just dont know anyone rich enough to give me a SMP - maybe i will start the trend!!
  12. Hi guys I am thinking about getting a Gen Omega SMP......Quartz. Can i ask why this may not be a good idea? i often see on the forums people taking a...lets say dislike to the quartz version. please tell me if i should save more and get an auto...?! thanks
  13. yeah Ricky has got it in the bag. staying up for it!!
  14. wow everyone is so nice here....well i have made my own rep and the UPO is, needless to say MASSIVE, but i have also tried to compare it to that of a cheap 'knockoff' (not a copy - a made up one!) omega speedmaster i bought a couple of years ago. it appears to be around 13mm deep and 43mm diam and does fit quite nicely...i wonder is a couple more mm would make a massive difference... on another (possibly annoying note) can anyone recommend a nice classic looking watch (based on what i have already mentioned....black...black strap) with dimensions of around 10mm deep and 40mm diam.......probs a stupid questions but if ones out there off the top of anyones head!!
  15. thanks for the reply - i will indeed be needing more that one watch! so you think a 45mm UPO on a thin girly wrist will look ok? hmmm that is good news! i think i might make one out of paper before i buy hahaha maybe a silly question....but and expensive rep is likely to last right? i got that impression from reading a few posts..just need to be sure!
  16. hi guys! been lurking around for a few hours reading the MILLIONS of topics this board has to offer! i need a hand choosing which watch to buy to be honest, and i wonder if someone wouldnt mind giving me some advice! - i was set on a IWC for a number of reasons 1. i love their classic look 2. you never see them and finally 3. i know people will disagree, but generally most people i encounter have never even heard of the make. This i like because if i bought a rolex replica no one would even consider it might be real no matter how close to the orginal it is! however, since reading the boards i have UPOitus and absolutely LOVE the look of it. I can also be as cool as Bond if i wear it apparently.... I am 6'4 and quite lankey.....i am worried that the UPO will look too big and clumpy....perhaps get the 42mm (Non Ultimate) version? i dont really like a watch too look too big and obvious (as i am sure it would on my wrist!). i know it would be just as unlikely for people to believe i have one of these also...but i can get over that. would someone please rub my back and tell me it wouldnt look too out of place on my wrist and the photos just make it look 'hockey puck' or would i be better of with something like IWC0017A - Mark XV Classic Black SS - Swiss ETA (are these quite thin?) large diam is fine...just not too thick?! ANY advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks so much for taking the time to read its so hard to choose something when there are so many beautiful watches - no wonder so many of you guys have remarkable collections! oh god just remembered the TAG monza.....
