  1. Some of us may have sensitive information stored on our HD's that we would like to have permanently deleted... HINT *DEALERS* :p

It might be banking info, personal info, business info or anything else private which we wouldn't like to be recovered using a simple undelete program.

I wanted to ask people here, do any of you know good software or other methods that can delete files from the computer making them totally unrecoverable?

  2. Hmm, the seller didn't misrepresent anything, but he is most probably aware that the adapter has issues as he has received negatives and neutrals over that same product. I'm assuming he's also received a lot of positives for that adapter?

Personally, if I was in that sellers position I would stop selling the product. Or another alternative is to do my own investigation and find out if it has a problem with all p168+ models, or could it be that the phone is at fault (outdated firmware or other such issues). If this turns out to be the case, I would make it clear in my listing that this adapter does have known issues with some p168+ phones, so purchaser is buying at own risk.. something along the lines of that. However I admit that I would have to be pretty desperate to flog them off for me to do that, as another member pointed out above, he might have surplus stock of these adapters so he's trying to get rid of them on e-bay.

  3. Rep prices have always been stupid from day one. What we are seeing now is some dealers are getting greedier by increasing mark-up further, and also being cheap and deceptive at the same time by passing of cheap mock eta movements as genuine ETA's.

I also have to agree with dluddy's comment above. If a rep is used, it should absolutely no way cost the same or more than what it was originally purchased for UNLESS it is a rare model/it has a rare movement/it has mods done to it.

  4. Personally, I feel that the ebay feedback system is to rate the SELLER/TRANSACTION and not the product. For instance, was the item as described? Was the seller dishonest in the listing? Did the seller dispatch the item fast etc etc.

I remember when I sold a large part of my dvd collection off, I received some neutrals for some ridiculous things! I clearly stated in the listing that they were all region 2 DVDs (UK standard) in bold and large print. I had a few USA buyers give me a neutral because the dvd didn't work on their region 1 machine :o I was like "HELLO how could you miss the clear print in my listing".

I also read through some feedbacks of big DVD sellers, some got even more ridiculous neutrals. One guy gave a seller a neutral, because he didn't enjoy the film....

Saying this however, I don't think TeeJay's neutral is going to kill that seller's business. As he mentioned, he gave a positive review of the seller in the text rather than just stating the product is faulty, which I know many might have done in TeeJay's situation. It all depends on the seller however, as some might even seen neutrals as having a negative impact on their ebay business.

  5. Basically what you're saying is that in order to wear an expensive watch, it's only proper for your clothes 'to match' and be expensive name brands?

I personally don't agree with that and I think many on here also wouldn't. Theres probably loads of guys who own a regular car and house and probably go for generic clothes and wear a sub ;)

EDIT: That guy was more than likely wearing a rep, however I say that simply because of his age. I'm 22 and wear somewhat 'ghetto' clothing, and I have a rep 111h on a officine rubber strap, I also own rollies, cartier, omega, breitling & soon to be patek philippe reps.. Do I give a sh!t what other people might think when they see my watch and my clothes? NO. Am I going to change my clothing style simply to try and lead people to believe that I can afford the gen of the watch I'm wearing... NO.

My reps are for my own enjoyment and no one elses. Also I'd like to add I know so many people who own $2000+ watches and they wear a $10 shirt and $30 trousers :)

  6. I've chipped a piece of ceramic of my Rado. I used regular superglue to glue it back on, but within a few days it weakened and came off again. I know one of the reasons may be that I didn't use proper application technique and/or method to glue it back in (hold the piece of ceramic down for a few minutes, and I think I used too much).

Can anyone recommend a really strong glue that will hold ceramics together? Also any tips on good preparation and application technique etc.

    Many thanks in advance.

  7. A scammer in the replica world is someone who promises something to be delivered as advertized, and intentionally delivers a different product doesn't even send one at all :)

As TeeJay pointed out, he received his sub from EuroFakes, and they didn't really misrepresent anything, just that TeeJay didn't have the knowledge he know does after frequenting these forums.
