Looks good so far. But is it going to cost a limb? 398 perhaps?
probably we will know the price by tomorrow. I think the pics could be better.

Nice thread...like this alot
anyhow. biggest dissapointment was the SFSO. Just like andrew said it feels something missing.....damn. have it polished now. maybee that will do
Also a gen Omega seamaster quartz. BIG BIG disapoinment as my rep Omega feels better =))
Surprising how one can be dissapointed with the SOSF. Maybe try the rubber strap, I think it's the best option. I agree the SSB is terrible. I had it already on SSB (too heavy) and leather (uncomfortable).

Without a doubt the biggest disappointment for me was the Planet Ocean, for a number of reasons.
Firstly it was way to big for my 6.75 wrist. Not only that... it just didn't FEEL right.
I own and wear watches that are larger, but the case, bracelet and lugs on the PO just weren't right for me. Got rid of it immediately, and never regretted it. It LOOKS like a great watch, but wasn't.
Can't win em all.
I agree about the planet ocean for the same reasons. I got rid of mine after a few weeks and got instead the IWC 3717 which is great.

OK, thanks b16a2, this makes it even simpler.

Thanks a lot JBond, I will try to go for the 1995, hope it will fit.

Looks great, I would keep it and not bother with replacement.

Who is selling swiss 7750 for 3717? Is it still available?
-
The MBK shop used to sell besides rolex also Patek and AP. Maybe others also , but not sure about the quality. I don't think their prices are significantly lower. The APROO (I think not with sec @ 12) costed $400 about a year ago, so don't expect too much.

I also have been lucky: I did not buy neither the CHS nor the ICHS. Regarding rolex, I am very happy with my SSD
-
I am not sure it will be repped.

I know some members had this problem with the BB date: the quick date set did not work. I have a BB (from Josh) for almost a year and the quick date set works perfectly (as mentined, the second position when you pull the crown), so don't agree to less than this when you get your replacement.

Josh has a new rubber strap for SOH with a buckle. Not cheap at all.
-
The 21J movements of the cheap reps are noisy like you you describe. The ETA movements do not make this noise when you move the watch, but of course they are more pricy.
-
I would try a watchsmith, if you know a good one.
-
All the reputable dealers of this forum sell the proper SSD and none of the them is using the terminology of the scam sites.
-
I can't comment about the pizza in Florida, but the SSD is a great choice.

Definitely go only for the swiss ETA version, worth every penny either $300 or $350. After a while you'll forget how much you paid, especially if you're going to have a single rep only.
About the colour, why bother with the white or cream? Go for the black or blue dial. I have a black dial, looks fantastatic, sometimes look blue due to the nice AR.

Agree..

Josh has a nice rubber strap with 24 mm lug distance and deployment buckle for SOH, but quite expensive.
