ubiquitous
Today, I received this buckle for an IWC; supposedly gen (purchased as gen), but not sure what to think. From an aesthetics standpoint, it looks a little 'old school'; what do you guys think?

pollux.cc
isn't there a 'new' buckle and an 'old' one? i think ive seen this old school type on reps as well but yours does look good... cant tell though i chickened out on my 3714 portugueser purchase at the very last moment... cant decide on which IWC to get, im just drawn to the death trap but oh well at least im not the only one
Tony7777
Hey I just ran across these same buckles on E-Bay. Is this where you sourced yours? Im having a BP 5002 modded and I really dont like the deployant....so Ive been looking around for some alternatives. $35 for a 20mm buckle is a bit pricey, yes? bwhitesox
No that price is pretty normal I think Tony. By the way I think you will need 18mm for the big pilot strap.
ubiquitous
I paid $35 for mine... 18mm. I didn't think the pricing was too bad?

As I mentioned previously that pesky deployant pops open all the time... So Im thinking about having Zack (Red12) build a strap...I know that in order to get the classic aviator shape Ill have to go with a smaller buckle. Hmm, something to think about...
