replacement vintage sub/seadweller dial

i have recently branched out into the world of rep's and brought a panerai replica from a member here. i also have a cheap rolex submariner rep which a friend brough for me while he was on holiday in the far east which is kind of responsible for all of this :D

anyway, the more i read, the more i realise my holiday present isn't a good replica and the more i lust after a nice vintage seadweller rep or similar as a project (starting simple and hopefully developing towards a franken project over time).

in the meantime i've decided to use the cheap sub rep as a practice piece to familiarise myself with removing casebacks, movements, crystals, hands, faces, etc., and would like to turn it into a kind of vintage style "beater" project to get used to things before i start on anything more serious (expensive)

my plans for this watch are really to have a good practice at fiddling with things; i intend doing a bit of vintagizing, some CG reshaping (possibly removal) replace the bezel insert and crystal, and just use it as a practice piece. Ultimately i'd like to turn it into a cheap bond-sub or similar rep on a nato strap; i know its never going to convince anyone who knows a real rolex, but its something i'd like to do as a first project and to gain some confidence before i start hacking and whacking something more expensive!

i have been trawling around the net and other posts here looking for reference to some cheap aftermarket dials for eta movements, and not had much luck. if anyone can point me towards a dial which might be suitable (i believe the current dial is 26mm dia, movement is an asian eta) for under $50 i'd appreciate it

I will post up some pics (if the result is not too embarassing) when i've finished :)

thanks in advance

ben
