dcap04 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 i recently bought the 091 from dsn and couldn't put the steel bracelet on it...tried to adjust the "wings" on the bracelet but it still wouldn't align...do you think if i make the hole on the bracelet bigger, it will fit?pam experts please help...thanks!
oncyte Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 The lugs on your watch are too short. And you could try dremelling the bracelet but you'll probably end up wrecking it. I'd say buy a different watch to put the bracelet on.
raiderkilo Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 The bracelet is available only for Panerai Luminor watches in a variety of materials and finishes according to the watch. It is integrated with the case and therefore not interchangeable with a leather strap for Luminor watches with a 44 mm diameter case, while 40 mm Luminor watches can also be fitted with a leather strap. Doesn't necessarily apply to gens either as third-party adapters are available to fit the gen bracelet and rep bracelets (which are designed to fit the regular lugs) fit the majority of leather strap models. There are a few rep cases around that can't handle the standard rep bracelet, though, and it looks like the OP's watch is one of 'em. Anyhow, a steel bracelet will look like ass on a Ti case - I'd recommend staying with the strap.
