flyback
please take a look at this 6152 for sale : http://www.clubpanerai.com/index.asp?notiz...ezionescelta=32 Don't you think the case would be totally polished instead of being brushed ? The seller says that 'Officine Panerai" was added after (not before)... And it is a 6152, not a 6152/1... A lot of mistakes from this ad.
MADRED7
This is an old watch...nearly 60 years of age....so you want expect this case to be shiny and polished all the way. The OP print was redone later...by whom? Noone knows.....but anyway, this watch is real and worth every penny (depends on your point of view). Cheers, Theo
flyback
You don't understand the way i was wondering why this case was brushed. I know the watch is real. I collect a lot of gen pics for my projects and that's the first time i see a 6152 case that is not polished. I have a french 1992 (seventeen years ago ) auction sales catalog with a similar watch and the case is polished.
Sweattdogg
The case was probably really beat up at some point and the owner decided to have the outside brushed to hide all the scratches and dings. Over 50-60 years who knows what could have happened to that watch. Either way it's a great looking watch.
earlgrey-erfurt
Overworked or not a true gen! its a Ref for 6152 -1 without CG The Case has rounded sides The Case of 6152 has an edge on the sides like this one Cheers Helmut
Clint Eastwood
I agree with Helmut, it's a 6152/1 without CG. It's not the only one gen (or partialy gen) i have see with brushed case. I have pic of gen 6152/1 with brushed case and CG, with ang240. To be honest, i never understand how this watch was made polished, brushed is more logic for military watch and cost nothing more.
