wimpie007
Hi guys, i've yust bought a watch of a friend but there's a problem with it: The date doesn't align neatly in the middle of the datewindow, is there a way to adjust this? Pics: Thanks in advance
ubiquitous
The datewheel on the Rolex reps is actually just a thin metal disc that is glued over the top of the ETA (or whatever xyz movement) datewheel. Aligning is absolutely possible, but you'll need to de-case the watch, remove hands and dial, remove the date overlay and reposition. Not terribly difficult to do, but well advised to have a competent and rep friendly watchmaker/repair shop perform this task if you are unfamiliar with the process. Or, you can contact the dealer you purchased from for corrective direction.
wimpie007
Ok, thank you, that image is helpfull but i dont have the skills to perform such actions and i bought the watch for 20 euro's from a friend. Thought is was a bargain because the ss bracelet is very good and the watch itself had the crown lasered in the crystal and the pearl was nicely centered Only downside was the datewheel. How much would this could if a watchmaker could fix it?
