trailboss Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 It is ceramic. Don't know if it may be white ceramic painted or PVD coated tho. Anyone? Col.
coolfire Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Hi nikos, any pics of your "scratches", and is your TG the V1 or V2?
asiparks Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 are you sure the marks are scratches ? The ceramic is very, very hard. They may be deposits of whatever it was that scratched against the watch. If i try to scratch mine with a knife it leaves what appears to be a silver scratch, but it is a trail of knife blade that will wipe off with an oiled rag. I'll bet that something white has just marked your watch, but it will come off.

ironforge Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 i have the new iwc full ceramic case top gun but is real ceramic case or simple paint case beacuse the case have scratch and color white in some place Hi,looking to your description I would tell that it's painted steel.
mikerblade Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 If its a ceramic the top gun logo on the side will be deeply engraved & slightly powdery to look at, I've never seen a steel case that isn't laser etched as I cant see the factorys bothering to CNC a stainless case. Also it will be incredibly light & have a matt finish, there is a steel cased one doing the rounds but its a shiny finish
