frogfalls
Hi I've just seen this in risti hxxp://www.network54.com/Forum/353390/thread/1249102500/last-1249146774/FS-+PAM+188+White+Dial++%28Daylight2%29 I am a bit confused as I always thought that the 188's bezel has the words 'TACHYMETRE' and not 'TACHYMETER' . To me that dial is for a 251 and not for a 188. what do you think about it, guys? Cheers
Watchmeister
i haven't chased down the link but the only daylight with "meter" is the 250 (black daylight). 188, 196 and 251 are all "metre". And of course the 250 and 251 both have brushed bezels versus their predecessors with polished.

To me that dial is for a 251 and not for a 188. what do you think about it, guys? Cheers I started a thread about this over on RG a little while back. It just depended upon where the watch was sold, as North American sales had "meter" spelling, while European had "metre".

Depends on the series...you'll find 188s in the H and I series with METER vice METRE....G series tend to have the METRE on the dial
frogfalls
Uhmm.... I didn't know that depending of the serie this model had such difference... I thought as kruzer says that the differences between a 188 and 251 ( talking about the bezel) would be the brushed bezel and if they are using 'METER' or 'METRE' on the bezel..Good to know it. Thanks
Watchmeister
I must correct myself. Panerai did change the spelling to "meter" on the 188 and 196 for the H and I series. I don't know if it was based on region as well though.
