Installing crystal to Explorer I

HI there, during a waterproof test my girl friends explorer I popped the crystal off,

Could you please explain me how to put it back ?.. Do i have to remove the bezel ?.. or do i have directly to push it back ?..

There should be no need to remove the bezel, it should be a case of pressing it back in, get a cheep press off the bay and use that to make sure you get it level and flat,

I am assuming this was a dry water proof test?

No dry, but the crystal popped before the water immersion, just a drop from the splash went to the dial.

It depends on how your ex1 is constructed:

If it is gen like and has a crystal gasket that is about 2.75mm high you'll have to remove the bezel. Same story as installing a crystal on a submariner: Stick the yrystal with gasket on the case, press the bezel OVER the crystal gasket combo.

If it is built like the noobmariner for example Andy described the way to go.
