JoJo35 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I don't like insulting people's watches, apart from in two circumstances: 1 - It's funny. 2 - It's a Hublot. x2! ...ps, I agree about the Hublots! Maybe Ubi can post up a pic of one of his 'tonas so we can pick it apart
Tribal Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I'm really to late here, but as I saw the Pic I thought the right is the fake one. Btw the crown looks too big on the Pic. Are you shure it's gen? The WM9 is the best out there but the CG's are too long and must be reshaped and also the Date window is a bit to small on the WM9. SEL's need also better shape and they must be tighter on the WM9 Bracelet.
JoJo35 Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 It must have been the angle of the picture Vly, your crown is a definite gen
HauteHippie Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Yep, as indicated in PM, the better pics clear up the crown confusion. I also thought the crown looked far too big in the first pic, but as it turned out, just a bad pic. One thing to notice in this pic though: The right CG appears to have had some shaping done on the outer surface, while the left side CG does not.

rolexer Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 I disagree. There are many here who have been "around" quite a while, and who can build something that no one would be able to "call out" (not me, but others who are a lot smarter than me) For instance (for fun) let's see how many can tell me what's wrong with this watch: Bezel insert not recessed enough. Too big gaps on the end links. I also think the "swiss made" text on the dial looks too big. -rolexer

Gen Bezel Gen Insert Gen Dial Gen Bracelet Gen crystal Gen tube Gen crown Shadow onto the gen bracelet from the lug Reflection onto the 18k from the SS I wish I knew how to spot reps so easily when I was new! (jkg!)

(jkg!) That is a gorgeous watch. Are you going to replace the bracelet with a bracelet with real gold center links?
JoJo35 Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 That is a gorgeous watch. Are you going to replace the bracelet with a bracelet with real gold center links? Haha, glad you got my joke. Actually, the entire watch is fake, and far from being worthy of putting anything gen into it. As a matter of fact, I picked it up on Canal St. in NYC last month for forty bucks
