freeze subdials a/k/a stop day-month-military chrono

I have a cartier roadster rep and tag monaco rep. Both have chrono buttons and dials but neither chrono actually works. They are both "Day-Month-Military" chronos. This means the subdials move to indicate the date and month I guess. It is more of a minor annoyance than anything. I usually just click them back so they are all lined up. Is there an easy way to disable them? Or am I better off just leaving them alone. I don't know the model of the movements. Both are asian.

I have a similar plan for a Daytona project. However, the responses I received is the 21J movement is not too friendly to disable. You will need to remove the dial and hands, and possibly remove the transfer gears.

If I ever get my work bench set back up, I will respond back. (Although mine is a 21J with seconds @ 6, and I want to freeze everything except H,M,S@6.)

Perhaps some other experts can jump in...
