<OFFICINEPANERAI> Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 What will you guys do to correct the arched R on the dial to make the vintage look?
sssurfer Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 What will you guys do to correct the arched R on the dial to make the vintage look? Please? What is the arched R on the dial?
<OFFICINEPANERAI> Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Please? What is the arched R on the dial? If you look at the Gen, the R of paneRai and the other script has a straight LEG on the letter, the newer modern version of this watch has a curved leg on all R's

Thanks! I think that I'll go and live with it. Actually, there are many more evident flaws to live with in this watch... It is a rep of the 341, that is not an exact copy of the Egiziano as per se. So I won't go for 100% accuracy. Well, not even 60% I suppose.
vuhuynh Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 The genuine was made, by Panerai, for the Egyptian navy's divers. From its size I'd say it was made to be wearable with the deep sea diving suits (the ones with the metal helmets). That's the only reason I could see for it being so large - definitely not something for everyday, bear arm, use I've thought they were made to wear around the torso to replace the weight belt. That thing is HUGE. How could the diver function if they wear it on the wrist
<OFFICINEPANERAI> Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Got mine today...and I LOVE LOVE LOVE huge watches. I must say, side by side pics, wrist pics, NOTHING shows the actual huge size of this thing...HUGE
rower Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Thank you for showing all of this. I've been looking for a new wall clock.
<OFFICINEPANERAI> Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 One thing nobody has commented on is the quality of the strap for such a cheap price. I may order a second, its genuine leather not the cheap crap
