vlydog Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 After two years of collecting I still do not own a Jeweler's loupe. If I were to purchase one, what would be the best all around magnification? Thank you
FxrAndy Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I use a 3 1/2 and a 10 for the finer work
vlydog Posted October 4, 2009 Author Report Posted October 4, 2009 So I guess, just for viewing and not for working, the smaller magnification would be sufficient; right?
FxrAndy Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I tend to work with the 3.5 most of the time and the 10 only if i am working on hair springs, after a while it is often easier to work with out as the feel is often more important.
freddy333 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 4x is probably best for all-around use.
RWG Technical Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I use a 4X 99% of the time, in fact it's on my glasses now...
