landwomble Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 My Getatwatch titanium's turned up, and it's a peach. Some edges are a little sharp (well, not actually *sharp* but might mark the leather). What's the best product to remove these with? A file's far too aggressive, would something like Autosol chrome polish be a dumb idea?
Bike Mike Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Machinist tooling stone. I have used files too, you just need a fine needle file. Any type of polish is not going to cut it.
lanikai Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 emery board. all you ant to do is "dull" the edges... finish with a pen eraser...this will take it back to the original finish.. then you'll be ready to oxidize the metal (if your so inclined) AC Lani

I'd presumed it'd be like aluminium and cover itself with oxide but maybe not after thinking about it...
FxrAndy Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Fine emery paper will do the job just fine

I have somewhere a detailed tutorial of "how to" you need oxi-clean and boiling water.. no noe can seem to locate it though .. it was posted about a year and a half ago. our search engine is being worked on by Admin so finding now is rough..
