gplracer Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 The DW 6263's have 7750 movements with asymmetrical pushers. Is this movement any different from a normal 7750 movement? Would an eta 7750 work or does it have to be a specific model?
ubiquitous Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 A 7750 should work, however the 12:00 minute counter would still require the transfer gearing to shift output to 3:00.
gplracer Posted October 11, 2009 Author Report Posted October 11, 2009 Thanks R How much of a difference is there between the Asian 7750 and the Gen Swisss ETA 7750?
ubiquitous Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 There are a few small differences- The pin sizes for the hands being one (subsidiary and center seconds), and I'm not entirely sure how compatible the transfer gearing is to shift the minute counter to 3:00. That's a swap that I rarely hear of taking place, so I can't say for certain.

A properly overhauled A7750 with a tricompax layout should suffice. Just my 2 cents worth.
