Mrkampa Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 Hi, so i got some fog in my ingy, disasembled the watch and clean it all up. then when i was reasembling i cant get the stem back in when the movement is fitted into the watch! it sits snug when the movement is out of the watch, but it seems as the stem wont go in when i put it all togheter, some one got anny tips? -kampa Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gatchaman Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 Its sounds like you depressed the stem release button too far down, bending it and displacing the winding wheel and castle gear. Then, when you tried to reinsert the stem, it knocked these pieces out of their positions. You would need to have the dial removed to put these parts into their proper positions so the stem can be correctly inserted. dbutlerman Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 Do you remove the watch back and then blow through the movement, or just heat the crystal until the condensation evaporates...maybe leaving the crown open to let the moisture vent....????
