Quarks
The Holy Grail...... Can't believe I actually chugged this piece aside and somehow got forgotten (and it wasnt long ago either!!). I rediscovered this piece again underneath a bunch of trash on my desk. Can u believe it? I can't. Well, here is a showcase of my beloved 5218-201A. Such a sweet watch. I'm gonna show this PAM some wrist time. P/s I reckon this PAM needs some mod. I was hoping Davidsen could reproduce this dial with a darker, bolder font on the same 'sausage' dial, followed by a palpatine crown, and strap on a big fat chunky distress strap with a madasboot engraved GPF buckle. That would set this 5218-201A straight to perfection.
linkukbora
That's a beauty 201a DS has got a better version now( As mine has got a nicely aged patina dial with sausage marker except the imperfect 6 and 9 markers) BTW Could you please disclose where you bought that box ? Quarks
Thanks guys. I am really showing deep appreciation for this beauty again. Last night when I turn in to bed, the illume of the watch was quite visible, although it is no superluminova, the thickness of the numeral markers was very much visible in the dark. What an awesome sight. linkukbora: The box is from my 1938A watch case. Just thought the 201A would fit in the case very well.
