ajoesmith Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hi Ive just taken my crown and stem out of my Daytona secs at 6, and taken the movement out to blow out some dust from the crystal. When all is back together the crown goes back in with resounding click but when i pull it out to set the time the whole stem comes out. when i try again the same thing happens. Please help. What can i do? Any ideas?? Thanks
Linder Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 It sounds like the crown stem release button was pressed too far during removal and now there is problem with the keyless works. It is a simple job for a watchmaker, but quite difficult for most of us. Hopefully I am wrong. Good luck!
2005SUBMARINER Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 if its an asian daytona then i dont think it has the same mechanism as the eta stem relaese buton . it should be the same as the china 21j movements where you only depress the stem relaease button & should release & enter without any problem . i would just keep trying to insert the stem in different positions untill you get it right good luck

Pugwash Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Still not working Any ideas, anyone? Watchmaker. You're not going to get it back in unless you take the dial off and fix the keyless works.
