Bravo Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I've been researching all the available case openers and my brain is spinning - there are SO many varieties! I have the following reps: Breitling (Bentley GT) Omega (Speedmaster, PO, SMP, Double Eagle) Pam (192 Tantalium) Rolex (YM, Sub LV) Tag (Link chrono) I now want to adjust the acuracy of each of them. I need case openers of course. Can anyone advise me of the best to get (within reasonable cost)? Thanks for your help
Pugwash Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Can anyone advise me of the best to get (within reasonable cost)? I use these: The one on the right was from Precious Time, the one in the middle was part of a kit from Narikaa and the one on the left was from tehBay. The one on the right opens most backs, but if not, the one on the left will get it.
sashwatch Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 hey pugwash, where is tehbay? i would love to get one of those shown in the left.. cheers
Pugwash Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 hey pugwash, where is tehbay? i would love to get one of those shown in the left.. Sorry, that's eBay to you non-geeks.
Usil Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hey Pugwash: The 3rd one in your picture, have you ever gotten anything open with it? I bought that and it has been totally useless. Narikaa sent me a 'sticky ball' after I made the clear plastic PAM opener and it is the most useful and effective case opener I have in my collection. So simple and works perfectly with zero chance of scratches. Usil
Bravo Posted August 26, 2006 Author Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hey Pugwash: ..Narikaa sent me a 'sticky ball' ... Usil What's that? (Thanks for the info, Pug)
Pugwash Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 The 3rd one in your picture, have you ever gotten anything open with it? Three Rolexes, a Panerai (with display back!), an IWC and a few Omegas. It must be a technique thing. However, I'm in Thailand in a month or so and will be getting a sticky ball or two.
Usil Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 A blow up ball about 3 inches in diameter that has a sticky tenacity when pressed against things. Used to grip and turn case backs. Usil

Usil Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Go to the dealers section - click on Narikaa - order a watch and ask for one. He has closed for right now as he is traveling but it will be back up in a few weeks. Usil
