Finally took a pic of my 2 babies side by side. On the left is my mbw red sub 1680 from a private seller, on the right is my vintage exp II 1655 from Josh. Not a bad looking pair if I must say so myself

I noticed that the steel on the 2 watches looks pretty different. I know that the explorer is 316, do the mbw's use a higher grade steel like the gens?
