jmb Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 To all you "No-Date Sub" guys, next time you have occasion to have the movement out of your watch take a peek behind the dial. I found, at least on my cheapo w/a21j, it was actually a movement with date wheel AND it had a Submariner compatible overlay on it! I now have a spare date wheel overlay for cheap Sub projects... I don't know if this would be the norm for higher end pieces but might be worth checking...
predfan2001 Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 None of the 5517 Subs I have owned had a date wheel.....but those cheapie no cg Subs usually have a datewheel. No Rolex font though. The no-date that I have now has a datewheel underneath though. The movement came out of a MBW 1680.
