To make sure the Cartier timepiece you are looking at is genuine, have the seller open the watch; authentic watches have the name Cartier engraved on the internal movements.

I worked a few years back on a RFID tag for LV. If you brought two Gen pieces together or against a special scanner the tag would glow.

They funny thing was, they thought this would prevent counterfeiting or their products!
