thogaa
As above. My gen Omega speedmaster 861 has a broken hexalite plastic glass. Who offers replacement without it costing an arm and a leg? My local AD won't replace without complete overhaul even though he did that just 6 months ago That's his own recipy for never selling another watch or service to me
offshore
Can you help us here with some dimensions, or an Omega Part# no.? I probably have an aftermarket here that would do the job...if you want a gen, you will need to hunt one up, probably from ebay. I do however have access to some Omega parts, but they don't come cheap! Part number would be great! (Watchadoo in Oz, on ebay, has had a large range of crystals recently) Offshore

fijikid
Otto Frei or Frei & Borel or whatever they call it has the Omega replacement crystal. As bwhitesox said, it's pretty straightforward. I've used the end of a full-size maglite flashlite as a bezel ring installer in a pinch and it works the charm. Remove battery cap and invert, remove battery spring and the screwed end is the same size as many bezels & crystal retaining rings - push down with palm of hand. Careful not to mess up bezel insert!!!

Great find I've ordered it and will have a go at replacing it when it arrives. Cheers Thomas
