Another DSN Crown

I FOLLOWED MICKEY PADGE'S LEAD AND DECIDED TO INSTALL A T48 CROWN TO MY 27A. THE ORIGINAL CROWN WAS A BIT WEAK. THIS IMO IS WAS A MUCH NEEDED UPGRADE. THANKS TO MICKEY PADGE FOR THE INSTALL TIP . VERY HELPFUL.

Looks good, Did you need to modify Davidsens crownguard to fit the deeper dish of the T48.?

i just read this further. No, DSN crownguard was not modified. it fits without any issues.

Looks great. I just ordered a T48 Crown for my DSN 027B to do the same thing. Did you use Mickey's paperclip solution? If so, can you describe exactly how you did it. Thanks!

thanks. i actually used the tip of an old rolex sub stem and sunk it into the T48 center and vuala. it worked. you need to be able to tighten the crown good and tight so it wont unscrew when adjusting the time/date/etc.

Any small metal filing will work, it only needs to be 1mm or so in size.....
