LOTUS ELISE Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 i would like to buy a rep or two from the guys in china, but what puts me off is the UK Customs issue. Has any of you UK guys bought from far east with no issues and what advise can you share with me I.E. which dealer to use, packing ID, and so on. Thanks for all your help boys.
Toadtorrent Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 If you are in the UK...buy from one of the UK based dealers like Precious Time, possibly Narikka...search for the EU based dealers. There could be a customs issue.
LOTUS ELISE Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 Thanks for your info Toadtorrent. Is the quality on par with the dealers in far east?????
numptyj Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Ive bought from Josh and Trusty who are based out of the far east, have never had any issues with customs, just have to wait a couple of weeks for them to turn up. Would definitely recommend Narikaa though have used him many a time he is a really solid guy and has just come back from the far east himself so has some new stocks. He is based in UK also so you will have items in a couple of days

Bike Mike Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Andrews site seems to be down from sometime back. Any ideas when its gonna be up again? It has been up for some time now. His domain name changed as it does from time to time. Are you going to the new site?
andy66 Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 hi, ive ordered 15 watches in the last few weeks,3 from UK based dealers and the rest from either Thailand or china.ive got a Breitling SA 7750 on its way aswell. No problems so far(touch wood).if your getting reps into the country ,theres always going to be some risk but compared to some EU and US customs, the UK isnt so bad. if you buy from narikka, you can expect your watch in 24hrs,with PT it could be up to 18 days if its not in stock but both offer amazing quality.check out narikkas PO's. i hope im not jinxing myself now but if you do order from overseas, the risk is pretty minimal mate. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
LOTUS ELISE Posted December 3, 2009 Author Report Posted December 3, 2009 Thanks Andy for your reply, i will keep RWG posted
unit17 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Can only agree with the last post, i have received my last 6 watches direct from China with no Customs problems. Most of the trusted collectors on here would cover you "if" a watch was siezed anyway. The main thing is the value declared by the seller as not to incurr import duties, but the guys in China realise this and only declare a low value. Saying that i have dealed with Reg (Narikka) and his service was spot on if he stocks what you are looking for? Good Luck with your purchase.
LOTUS ELISE Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 thank umit17 your info has helped me a lot.
