bmedude
Anyone care to share their thoughts on the PAM 220 sold through Josh? I'm a first time rep buyer and do not really wish to make additional mods. It is a rather expensive rep @ $400+. I tried searching around but haven't found any recent posts on it. I'll also throw a bit of a curve ball in there.... Would you rather get a DSN ultimate fiddy or a Josh PAM 220 as a starter watch? Budget is $500. NoobyPanFan
Two totally different watches... DSN Fiddy all the way! 47mm in the cushion case style is comfy and easy to wear for many wrist sizes. You will love it!
bmedude
Thanks. I think I'll end up getting both. I'm just awaiting a response from DSN You're definitely right about that fatty 47mm case. They look unbelievable
w0lf
Ultimate 220 sold by cartel = Ultimate 104, w/ a brushed case + SS bracelet. Same pros and cons found in the Ultimate 104 apply. + Decent caseset + Great crystal/cyclops + Good datefont - Incorrect CG for I series, rep uses a contemporary looking CG and it should be a tapered-top historic polished w/ brushed lever - Incorrect caseback (taken from rep 104I) 220I was limited run of 400 units - 6 o'clock numeral should be open but since it's a recycled rep 104I dial it's closed - crown too close to case - L SWISS MADE L too close to 6 o'clock - CP cap on the hanstack is not polished and has micro lathe swirlies. those are just a few that come to mind. bmedude
Hrmm, I think I'm going to hold off on the PAM 220 now after reading what you had just mentioned. I'll probably go with a cheaper replica like the PAM 000. You rock w0lf! Ultimate 220 sold by cartel = Ultimate 104, w/ a brushed case + SS bracelet. unregistered
No good 000 reps to be found either. Cons: Nearly all have incorrect logo application Wrong CG Bad crown Incorrect caseback OP number
Drulee
Just decide which one you think looks best, then buy the one appropriate for your budget. Then start "fixing" the flaws one at a time. Then get completely frustrated, and start all over again, if you can't live with the flaws. Me, I can live with the flaws, and there are so many
unregistered
Actually just saw that hont is selling a very decent PAM005 for $90 with accurate logo dial. May be something for you to consider instead of the more elusive PAM
