The Watcher
Hi there Does anybody now what is closest to the genuine pam: The 3-6-9-12 numbers on a panerai luminor base is on top of the black dial or the dial has cutout where the numbers is so it gives a 3d effect in the numbers??? damn it sounds wierd.... but I dont know how else to describe my question But i have attached an illustration, so maybe someone kan just say wether it is the right or left that is more genuine than the other! Thanks guys

swdivad
Both are correct.... The cutout numbers are what is called a sandwich dial which is a feature of the later Panerais starting with G series... Pre G series had the numbers/markers applied on top of the dial... There are different styles of dials in the Pre Vendome, T dial, and vintage Panerais... you can read about these here: http://www.paneristi.com/archives/PreA_Pan..._A_Panerai.html
