Pugwash
Hi there, I have a Tag Heuer Link Chrono. How can I reset the subdials so that all hands point upwards? Please help me out. Thanks! 87 posts? You're not new! If your Chrono doesn't reset to 12, you need the hands putting back. It's the job of a watchsmith.

Not necessarily - there's a fix (applied to genuine as well as rep 7750s) that requires fully winding, running the and resetting watch a few times that will eventually reset the chronos. Someone posted it a while ago - I'll have a look for it.... Edited September 6, 2006 by r11co

YellowHat
Quote from Eddie Lee on WatchTrader 6/06/2006 6:35AM: 7750, 7753, 7750b date , chrono issue read before u play with your toy How do you set date on 7750 or 7753 or 7750b1 or any movt with date chrono/ automatic Do not activate the chrono ..until u have done all these steps. When u receive your piece either genuine or rep….do remember to handiwnd the piece ,,,may be 50 rounds, so to generate enough power reserve….then u shake the piece like a mad cow for 3-4 minutes…. Then pull the crown out to adjust the hour hand manually to determine when is am/ pm….see the date change…then u know when is am/ pm. Make sure u know when is am/ pm.. Make sure u don’t adjust the date between 10pm-3am ever…---don’t ask me why ,,,,it just works this way.—because if u do,,,the date will jam or go half way. After u have confirmed the am/ pm…..u can adjust the crown to get to the desired date you want. As for the timer hand to reset back to zero, it is pure luck….u may have perfect reset, or less than perfect reset. My genuine omega did not reset back to zero after 3 months. ---by the way, make sure everytime u activate chrono, u have enough power reserve These are replicas we are dealing with. See this link for the common problems exist in genuine. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff69617.htm good luck folks. I think that addresses your issue. supermanx
-edit sorry just reread your post, this only applies to the large chrono second hand. Try resetting with the chrono at 45 min position to reverse the stop position, and 15 min position to advance the chrono hand stop position. If this works the bad news is your hand will continue to slip everytime you do not reset it from exactly the 00 position until you get it glued. none
I think it's utterly strange that such things also happen to gen pieces... anyway I believe it does...
