OSRep Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I always admire work like this. Congratulations. Are you going to "vintagize" the case a little? I think a little bit too new for the dial/hands.......Beauty!
Jimster Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Very old looking like the watch. Did you do anything to the case back? Jim
tik-toc-collectionist Posted February 16, 2010 Author Report Posted February 16, 2010 Very old looking like the watch. Did you do anything to the case back? Jim It's a custom made thick caseback. I high polished the sides and brushed the back.

I have a hard time scratching denting a case that took me hours to handfile and polish. Edited February 16, 2010 by tik-toc-collectionist

dluddy Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Looks like it was found on the bottom of the ocean. Nice aging work
fool2 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Thanks, Did it myself. A friend gave me some cooper plating solution. Do you mind if I ask what state you reside in? I am looking for a Southern California source for electoplating solutions and chemicals. Having them shipped nearly doubles the price of the stuff due to Hazmat
