ubiquitous Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Just wondering if anyone makes springbars with the double screw heads for Pre-V cases (with lugs drilled on both sides)? Seems this would be just a standard, thick springbar with both heads/tips notched to look like screw heads. Does such a thing exist? I would imagine this would be a nice solution for those with Pre-V's (either gen or rep), as it would preserve the original bars/screws, there's no lug threads to worry about damaging, and such an item has got to be much easier to work with for swapping out straps. Thoughts? Or is this crazy talk?
dluddy Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I think it would be a very cool idea. The little screws are a bugger in strap changes
ubiquitous Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 Perhaps one of our membrs here can get this done! I'm about to embark on discussion with him; DL, do you have any of these Pre-V bars handy?
dluddy Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I have one set of the Pre-V lug bars in the parts box
ubiquitous Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 OS says that if we can get measurements on the bar, he can have some made
ubiquitous Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 I was pretty sure DSN had the standard single sided springbars, but I didn't know he had the Pre-V style double headed springbars?
NoobyPanFan Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I have always wanted/wondered the same thing. They would be nice as well as handy...
