I've always liked the 183 Black Seal, but this one is over the top cool. I like the gold hands and the crown shape. Interesting prototype.

It's a prototype made by Panerai before going into production with the first Black Seal / G series.

According to the Panerai literature the Black Seal "reproduces the design of the first historic watch created for the Royal Italian Navy in 1938".

Because of its high water resistance it was used by the naval divers, nicknamed 'the black seals' because of the black rubber diving suits.

Don't know about all that, but they are nice looking watches.

Actually , I do love this one , abut I hope it's not go into production .

Because if they already do it now , the model must from these pics as we saw .

So the result must be far from Gen .

I would ratther waitting the gen into the market and rep from the gen case .

So that the rep will be closer to gen .
