Pusher Question

Hi Guys,

I am in the process of reseaching for my 6263 that I want to do and am trying to get some more information on pushers. I have searched and read a lot but have a few more questions. I have read that the DW cases sometimes have questionable pushers. That is the case I am likely going to get. If I want to replace the pushers, is it best to retap the case with the smaller 5.3 rolex tap? I have read that the Otto Frei pushers don't fit the rolex tap pitch thread. Is that true? Also, what size tool will I need to screw in the pusher into the case? The sell three different size tools and then Horotec makes a universal tool with lots of attachments. I would rather not have to buy the Horotec right now. How are the pushers measured? Lastly, do you need a washer or gasket when intalling the pusher into the case? Do you use loctite to secure it or silicon? Thanks for any help!!!!

The Ofrei pushers usually fit the threading made by the smaller of the 2 Rolex taps (I have received a couple of DW cases that had pusher holes that were too large for the standard pushers, including the pushers that came with the case - in those cases, you need to either get a larger diameter pusher or cement the pusher into the existing hole). However, because of the variability of rep cases (including DW's), you will not know whether you need to retap until you check your particular case. Some of mine required tapping, while others did not. I use this pusher tool for all of my Daytonas
