Guest ThePhilosopher
Thanks all, I can't wait to start retouching the images from this camera - all of these have been straight from the camera except the resizing.
hiker01
Are you shooting RAW? If you need major re-touching....RAW is the way to go! Minor touch-up, JPEGs are fine! Great shots BTW!

RickHiC
Gotta love full-frame sensors. It cuts both ways for macro, however. The depth of field is sooo shallow, and the more you stop down, the more sharpness you lose to diffraction. Still, careful composition can mitigate this. One of my favorite parts about the D3 line: live-view with 10x mag. for macro focusing. You can't get any more precise than that.
Guest ThePhilosopher
I have yet to utilize live view with the AF being so precise - I do love DOF preview though.
