goin6633
Hi all , I would like to share the PAM243 I did today . The 243 is the same as model as unregistered ever shared before , so that we all know the differents compare to gen . Here's the PAM243 from the dealer . The marks on the bezel are all brushed , so I will polish them . The CG looks good to me , just need to tight the lever & flat & polish the CG pin . Take off the CG and the case back . Seperate the case and the movement , ready to work ! I polished the marks on the bezel at the first , you will see that's big different . Then , I add the o ring in the CG to make the lever tighter . Also flated the CG pin top and polished it . Move the original pearl on the bezel , I will rebuild the pearl to make it fit the color . The second is relume job . This time , I will do a little different about the relume . Check this gen pic at first . You will see the color of lume pigment on the dial , numbers & marks are different . So , make them different might be a good try this time . I mix some C3 & C1 for the numbers & small marks on the secs . The first step is done , you will see the numbers are brighter than marks . Next , mix the tritium yellow looks for the marks , hands , and the pearl . Done , it;s different to take a good shot by the digi-cam . Set the hands . And the lume shot . And all done after I rebiuld the pearl . Here's the result . How do you guys feel ?

Did you rebrush the CG body or just flat/ polish pin? Nice lume job I didn't rebrush the CG , just flat/polish the pin . Aboutt he o'ring , here's the post I ever shared in other forum . 1. seperate the CG like this . 2. Set the pin well on the wood holder . 3.The tool to flate the top of the pin . 4.After some works , the top would be like this . 5. The polish tool . 6. After polished it , you will get a flated and polished top of pin . 7. The tools to add the spaces for the o'ring , the right side one is for wilder , the lefty is for deeper to add the spaces . 8.And you can add the o'ring like this . 9.You got a nice moded CG like this . Mapman57
Great tutorial and a must for all PAM colectors - not seen the o ring aproach before? Another possible mod on this piece could be to remove the markers from the bezel, shave them down a fix them back in at a lower level, which is more gen like. However the numbers on the markers are always a litle larger than the gen numbers and this is probably no fixable? Thanks for sharing. I just picked up a 092 Arktos - do you want a project????
