danza1812
I have a swiss UPO and the gen rubber strap. When I fit the strap with the upo springbars, there is a 1mm gap between the case and the strap. I orderd gen size springbars which are a bit thicker to eliminate the gap, but for the life in me i cant seem to get the bloody pins into the holes! Can it be done or should I learn to live with the tiny gaps?
nakortheblue
I curved the end of my spring bars with pliers. YMMV. I saw a springbar curving tool on watchbitz, that might help.
Whatever123
I had the same problem... and yes, it can be done - but it's a PITA indeed! Took me several tries and a lot of swearing...
DemonSlayer
I have fitted several rep UPO straps to the case using gen-sized spring bars, and I have experienced the same problem. I recall spending a couple of hours on my first attempt at doing this It can be done, but the spring bars have to be curved in at the ends, I used pliers to do this. It all depends on the case, some of these are drilled well, others are sh!t and unfortunately I have mostly ended up with the crap ones, the holes are not in the optimum location.
