Hello, all.

I just ordered a PAM 89 from Josh, the one with the blue dial. I'm getting it instead of a PAM Firenze which seems too purple for me. Does anyone have pics of the PAM 89 with the blue dial? Any thoughts on it?

The PAM 089 was a Titanium cased Anthracite dial, which only Davidsen sells now. I believe your blue dialed "fantasy" model also comes in a stainless steel case, so you may want to double check that.

In the meantime, here is a pic of what your dial looks like. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't made the sub-dial so shiny:

Thanks, Drulee! I'm glad I picked this over the Firenze. I can mod this and really enjoy it. I know it's a fantasy, but that's ok by me.

Are you saying the Firenze is a fantasy version? I thought it was a limited edition that Panerai made.

The 089 has been on my "get next" list for a long time. Just haven't pulled the trigger. I've got the 177 and it's starting to look boring to me. I'm looking to spice it up a little. Great pick in my opinion.

No, I was referring to the 089 on Josh's site that the OP is planning on buying. But you have to watch out when buying a 228 Firenze. I bought one from DSN and ended up with a shiny purple dial, instead of the correct blue one. I eventually managed to source the correct dial, but be sure to stay away from those shiny purple ones, they look terrible.

accurate? well as stated the 89 is a fantasy model so the 88 would be.
