MBW cases and Gen Rolex movements

Hmmm..... my guess would be no.

The 1665 & 5514 have gen movements inside old style MBW mid-cases (I understand the new/current MBW cases are different than the older MBW cases, but I have never compared old vs new, so I cannot provide any details). The 1665 required a cut-out (180 degrees opposite the crown side) & some grinding of the movement's pillar plate to provide ingress for the movement locking screw & He valve. The 5514 was a simple, drop-in affair (no mods required).

As everyone says it is not a simple answer. You would have to tell us the particular watch (and the movement) that goes into it. A couple that I thought would simply plug in required major case rework.
