Ahky Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Dear Members. I would truly appreciate your help in verifying the pushers in this new DW 6263 case that I recently purchased. What I would like to know is if these pushers are 1:1 to gen or are they a bit too thin? After reading many posts on the forum I have found that the closest is the Ofrei. Your kind advice and input is much appreciated. Special thanks to Freddy333. thank again.
gplracer Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 I think the pushers are fine. The main thing is how well they work. A lot of the DW pushers will unscrew from the case when you try to use them. Usually some locktite will fix it. Some of the other DW pushers use clips and do not screw in. If you get the Ofrei pushers you might have to drill out the case to accommodate them. Sometimes they are a tad bigger than the hole.
freddy333 Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 I think the pushers are fine. Ditto. If they fit the case & function, I would leave them alone & concentrate on something else.
Ahky Posted May 15, 2010 Author Report Posted May 15, 2010 Thank you both for the advice. I checked and the pushers come off the case when I unscrew them. How do I resove this? Not sure what lockite is. Thanks again.

Thanks again. correct spelling is loctite, they probably sell this stuff all over the world ever replaced a flywheel or worked on a set of heads?
freddy333 Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 I checked and the pushers come off the case when I unscrew them. How do I resove this? Not sure what lockite is. The pushers are probably just not properly snugged-up in the case (do not over-tighten or they could shear off). Loctite is semi-permanent glue/cement. Most auto parts & hardware stores sell it. If you cannot find it, auto gasket sealer, nail polish or rubber glue will do the job.
Ahky Posted May 15, 2010 Author Report Posted May 15, 2010 Thank you all for the guidance. Do I afix the pushers with loctite prior to V72 movement installed on the case? Thanks again.
freddy333 Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 You apply a tiny bit of loctite to the pusher's threads where they screw into the case. You do this with the movement out of the case.
Ahky Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 Thanks again for the guidance. I appreciate it very much.
