Switch quartz movement from SM to automatic

Just curious: Suppose you have a gen seamaster 300m quartz version. Would you be able to swap the movement with an automatic movement?

you would need another dial and hands, and you would have to check the stem alignment, but you can put a rover V8 motor in a mini body so any thing is possible

I would think you'd be better off selling it and buying the automatic.

wish they sold a rep of the quartz version, my oldman is a destroyer of automatics and I would get him one straight away.
