It's as good as the gen. It's the same thing except a caseback.

I think that any die hard Panerai fan that have the resource will do the same, at least for me.

It's much more rewarding to build a watch at this caliber than spent 20k on the same thing.

Lovely 028 you got there and definitely one of a kind with all those genuine parts..

funny thing is that this one cost more than the genuine one when it was released...

You got me curious and so I looked up the list prices in some of the early years. You aren't far off. :lol:

I have an italian watch magazine from the year this model was released..the price is in italian lira...I will post a scan of the article so you can see what was the price for the public of these models..

Thanks. There is an even easier way. Just go to Paneristi and they have price lists going back early enough that you can price out c series. At that point hand winds were well under $3k and automatics tended to be $3-4k (special editions excepted). Heck the 63(c series) had a list of $2900. Where were we? But the other side of that is that gold was $200 back then too. Should have bought the gold. :lol:
