R0NiN
So I was just browsing around one of our 'collectors' sites and I came across this watch: http://www.watcheden.com/panerai-luminor-marina-unitas-6497-movement-pvd-case-with-rubber-strap-ar-coating-i-17834-p-1.html It appears to be a PAM 111 H. I figured out the H part based on images from their sister site here: http://www.idolreplicas.com/panerai-luminor-marina-militare-unitas-6497-movement-pvd-case-with-black-dial-rubber-strap-replica-watch--35346.html Looking around I have found that people do aftermarket PVD or 'DLC' on PAMs, and I found a 111 E that was that way: http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/panerai-pam-111-e-luminor-marina-44mm-aftermarket-dlc-coated-black-stainless-steel The 111 H looks pretty accurate to me, I think its got a sandwich dial (again pics). The case markings seem correct for a 111 (OP 6567, numbered out of 2000, correct movement markings for H series) based on these references: Gen 111 H for sale (movement view in caseback looks same, as does OP number, etc.): http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=204564 Info on 111 H number in series: http://www.paneraisource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=463 What do y'all think? I just thought it was an interesting conversation to have...cheers...
hooky
I would go for a normal 111 or 112 and go for a after market DLC coating. I just like the color and specs (stronger against scratches) of DLC a LOT better.
